Terms of use

Draft for legal review

Last updated: 19 October 2026

This is a translation. The Hebrew version is the binding one.

1. Who we are.

The "Community Ropes" service (the website ropes.community and the app at app.community-ropes.codama.dev) is operated by {legal entity, company number}, which built it with Codama ("we"). Using the service means you accept these terms.

2. What the service does.

It helps companies recruit and assign guides for events: a company posts an event and shares a link, guides sign up, and the company assigns. We don't employ guides, we are not a party to any agreement between a company and a guide, and we don't handle payments between them.

3. Account and login.

You log in with a phone number and a one-time code sent by SMS. Don't share the code with anyone. The service is for people aged 18 and over.

4. Companies' responsibilities.

The company is responsible for the event and everything about it: safety, insurance, permits, checking guides' certification and experience, terms of engagement and pay. Guide details a company receives through the service are used only to coordinate the work. A company that adds a list of guides to the service confirms it may share that information for this purpose.

5. Guides' responsibilities.

Guides give accurate details, including certification status and years of experience. A guide who is assigned and can't make it tells the company as early as possible.

6. Not allowed.

Posting events that don't exist, sending spam, collecting other users' contact details, trying to get around security, or using the service for anything illegal. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Your content.

What you post stays yours. You allow us to display it to run the service, for example on the event page and in the link's preview card.

8. Price.

The service is free today. Guides will not pay. Founding companies are free at least until 30 June 2027. If we add charges for companies, we'll announce them in advance and won't charge anyone without explicit agreement.

9. Availability and liability.

The service is provided as is. We work to keep it running well, but we don't promise it will be free of faults or that every SMS will arrive on time. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, lost income or an event that wasn't staffed.

10. Stopping use.

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your data (see the privacy policy).

11. Changes to these terms.

We'll post any change here and give advance notice of material changes.

12. Law and jurisdiction.

Israeli law applies. The competent courts in Tel Aviv-Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Contact.

WhatsApp {wa} or email info@codama.dev.
