Built with the field, for the field
Community Ropes grew out of the WhatsApp groups where the industry already recruits guides.
What we saw
We read months of recruiting posts in the groups. Almost all look the same: date, place, role, "DM me". The same post goes up again and again with "still relevant", replies scatter across private chats, and nobody knows if a spot is taken until someone writes "closed".
The group itself works great. Everyone is there, and everyone knows everyone. So we didn't build another platform to move to. We built a better post: same post, same group, plus one link that sorts out the rest.
Built with the field
Our design partner owns an adventure tour company and has recruited guides in the groups for years. He tries every step on his phone, and we fix what he finds. That's also how we decided what's not there: no required pay field, no app, and no changing the group.
What matters to us
- 1
The group stays.
We don't ask anyone to leave their groups.
- 2
No app.
A link, a phone, a code. That's it.
- 3
Your guides are yours.
Contact details are hidden, and your list is never shown to another company.
- 4
Guides don't pay.
Ever.
